Heritage Capture – a system for digitizing and presenting museum artifacts

The "Heritage Capture" project, implemented by DIGITAL SPACE Sp. z o.o., is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Modern Economy program.

►Project Objective

The project aims to develop a modern system for presenting cultural heritage, enabling its digitization, preservation, and sharing in the form of interactive 3D experiences.

The following activities are being carried out as part of the project:

• construction and configuration of the hardware and software infrastructure (workstations, graphical environments, tracking system),
• development and implementation of virtual exhibition tour scenarios,
• preparation of test environments and 3D content presentation systems,
• design of methodological guidelines for virtual exhibitions,
• integration of tools for supporting user interaction in virtual spaces.

►Target Groups

The project will benefit in particular:

• museums and cultural institutions,
• the education sector,
• creators and consumers of digital content,
• visitors to virtual exhibitions (individual and institutional).

►Effects and Results

The project will result in:

• a functioning virtual museum exhibition system,
• a set of 3D tour scenarios,
• technological infrastructure enabling the presentation of museum objects in a virtual environment,
• increased access to cultural heritage in digital form.
